Peers
A peer supporter (likeperson) is a member of the association who either has CF or PCD themselves or is a parent or partner of someone with the condition. A peer supporter is not a professional; instead, they are empathetic individuals who offer support and practical advice based on their own experiences. Peer supporters are bound by confidentiality and have received training for their role.
Our peer supporters have varying areas of expertise, and together they cover a wide range of experience in living with, or closely supporting someone with, CF or PCD. Being a peer supporter is an unpaid, voluntary role. You can get in touch with our peer supporters by contacting them through the form on the website, and/or by joining one of our digital discussion groups.
