Every year, NFCF organizes a Learning Weekend. This weekend is central for everyone with CF and PCD, as well as their relatives, providing an opportunity to come together, share experiences, and receive updated information on treatment and rights. We also hold a digital annual meeting open to all members.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to the Learning Weekend and the digital annual meeting, regional gatherings are held throughout the year. For more information about the regional meeting places and events, see the overview below. NFCF's organizational structure and administration<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Learning Weekend <\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

Every year in April, NFCF holds its main gathering, formerly known as the Learning Day and Annual Meeting Weekend. This is the association\u2019s largest event. In 2025, we have transformed the weekend into a dedicated Learning Weekend, where more time will be spent on activities and professional content. For more information about this year\u2019s Learning Weekend, see this site.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

During this weekend, NFCF members\u2014including individuals with CF and PCD, their families and relatives, the association\u2019s elected representatives, healthcare professionals from various regions, and representatives from the Norwegian Cystic Fibrosis Center\u2014come together. The event also includes invited guest speakers.<\/p>\n

The professional program for the Learning Weekend is adapted for different age groups and is developed by NFCF\u2019s Expert Advisory Board in collaboration with the Patient Education Center (LMS) at the nearest hospital with CF expertise. Responsibility for organizing the event rotates among NFCF\u2019s four regions.<\/p>\n

The weekend features a variety of activities and programs, including a dedicated youth event. It also serves as an important platform for peer support, where many meaningful peer conversations take place. The weekend includes a gala dinner with entertainment and awards, providing a great opportunity for experience sharing and making new connections.<\/p>\n

For members with CF who cannot attend in person, participation via Skype is available by arranging it with the board at post@nfcf.no<\/a>.<\/p>\n
